
Esther-Marije Papma, violinist and violin teacher,
studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Jan
Hulst and with members of the Daniël Quartet.
There,in addition to her D.M., she also obtained a
specialization in Chamber Music. She plays on a
project basis with various (semi-) professional
orchestras and is a member of several ensembles,
including the Vecinos String Quartet, the Gantel
Ensemble, and MooP
(www.ensemblemoop.nl, an ensemble that performs music based on old poems) and
has been playing the baroque violin for a few years, with which she performs in various
baroque ensembles. Furthermore, she works as a violin teacher at De Garenspinnerij in
Gouda, Cultuurhuis Heemskerk, and Centrum voor de Kunsten Beverwijk. She also
provides after-school violin workshops at schools and after-school care centers.
Esther-Marije teaches both beginners and advanced students, as well as children and
adults. She speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and Turkish.
