Ayla Emanet, born in Germany in 1984, started her musical training in the Radio Television Choir in
Istanbul in 1992. She started studying the flute in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul in 1996 with
Mr. Nazim Acar who was principal flute of Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra. In 2001 she started
studying with Vieri Bottazzini in the same University and graduated ranking first in class.
Ayla played as solo flute with the Mimar Sinan University Symphony Orchestra and Istanbul Cemal Reşit
Rey Symphony Orchestra. She also played as principal flute of the “All Flutes Chamber Orchestra” which
recorded in 2004 CD of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”.
She participated in many master classes by well-known flute players such as Sir James Galway, Patrick
Galloise, Raffaele Travisiani, Alexa Still and Andrea Lieberknecht.
In 2003, she participated in Sir James Galway’s Master class with piccolo flute, with this instrument
brought her to the attention of Sir James Galway, who gave her a scholarship to attend his International
Master class in Weggis, in August 2004, where she played Lowel Liebermann’s Piccolo Concerto to a big
success and where Sir James chose her to perform as a soloist with the Masterclass’ Flute Orchestra. She
also played the Turkish Premiere of the same concerto with the Student Orchestra of Mimar Sinan Fine
Arts University in the 2005. In 2006 Sir James Galway chose her again to perform as a soloist with the
Masterclass’ Flute Orchestra in Interlaken-Switzerland.
She started to play with Eskisehir Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra as solo flute at 2005, in 2009
she participated in Istanbul Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra as second flute and piccolo 2009. She
graduated from Solo Flute and Chamber Music Master’s degree in Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln-
Germany and worked with Prof. Robert Winn who was solo flute of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Same year she started “Orchesterspiel” as second Master’s degree in Orchestrerzentrum NRW-Dortmund
worked with Berten D’Hollander who was the piccolo flute of the Flemish Opera and she graduated on
March 2014. Since then, she has been playing in Germany as a guest flute player in different orchestras
and ensembles such as Duisburger Philharmonic Orchestra, Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, ZOOM!
